YuSU student from Egypt took part in the International Meeting “Ambassadors of Victory”

From September 17 to 21, Tarek Hussein, a student of the YuSU Higher School of Humanities from Egypt, took part in the International Meeting “Ambassadors of Victory”, which was held in Izhevsk.

On the first day of the event the participants were given an educational program, during which they were introduced to the organizers, told about the tasks for the Gunsmith's Day. The program ended with a brief history of the city, a story about Izhevsk's achievements and sights. In the evening there was a general networking where the Victory Ambassadors got to know each other better and were charged with good mood for the next days.

At the opening ceremony, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Udmurt Republic and the Deputy Head of the Izhevsk Administration for Social Policy addressed the volunteers with a welcoming speech. “The most emotional and touching part of the ceremony was the address to the ambassadors, guests of the ceremony and veterans,” Tarek noted.

On Gunsmith's Day, the morning began with a commemorative flower-laying ceremony at the Stele “Izhevsk - City of Labor Valor.” The YuSU student helped navigate and laid flowers himself in memory of the gunsmiths of Udmurtia and Russia.

The brightest event of the day was the All-Russian historical game “RISK: The Glory of Russian Weaponry”. Despite the difficult weather conditions, the evening ended with an emotional action. Volunteers took part in creating a fire painting dedicated to the legendary gunsmith Mikhail Kalashnikov.

“It was the first time I became a Victory Ambassador and it was an unforgettable experience for me. The rally went wonderfully! During these days volunteers from different parts of the country became one big family. I was very impressed by the Kalashnikov Concern,” shared his impressions.
