On 25-27 October 2018, the YUSU Institute of Humanities will host the I International Applied Research Conference "Languages And Culture of Arctic Peoples Amid Globalization". The event will be organized by the Ugra Regional Linguistic Research School.
The conference is expected to attract international scientists representing Hungary, Germany, Belarus, Kazakhstan and more, with researchers from Russian cities of Moscow, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kaluga, Noyabrsk, Tobolsk and Surgut to participate as well.
The work of the conference focuses on the following sections:
Section 1. Priorities of Modern Philological Science In Understanding of Multicultural Environment;
Section 2. Current Issues of Language Dialectology of Russia's Arctic Peoples.
Section 3. Challenges and Development Trends of Social and Cultural Environment in the Russian Arctic Area: the Past and the Present;
Section 4. Social and Cultural Activity: Vectors of Research and Practical Opportunities;
Section 5. Social Risks and Challenges Pursuing Social Security in Modern Society.
The communication platform is meant to expand capacities of practical application of research findings on the issues to be under discussion.
