The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists in Russia (APECS Russia) and the UK Polar Network in cooperation with the Kola Science Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the MSU Faculty of Geography and the YUSU-based UNESCO Chair "Environment Dynamics and Global Climate Change" are pleased to invite you to participate in the Interdisciplinary Field Course in the Russian Arctic "Arctic Interdisciplinary Studies – ARCTIS2019".
On 18-22 February 2019, Russian cities of Apatity, Kirovsk, Murmansk and the Murmansk region will host the upcoming field course events.
Pursuing its main purpose, ARCTIS facilitates bilateral and interdisciplinary cooperation between early career scientists from Britain and Russia on natural and social science studies in the Arctic. The course is aimed at creating a platform for fruitful discussion to share ideas and knowledge, building new skills and expertise via developing joint research project concepts.
ARCTIS is expected to cover the following research fields: Atmosphere, Cryosphere, Terrestrial, Marine and Social & Humanities.
Participants of the course will be granted financial support.
